The principal goal of this course is to present the physical and cultural realities of the Sonoran Desert and Greater Mexico through a series of presentations by scientists, anthropologists, historians, architects and other passionate observers. Lectures and readings are meant to encourage a meaningful dialogue concerning one's position and obligation to a specific place, the Sonoran Region.
