Social Events at the conference

&loz Friday evening, March 27th, 2009. Pub night at the Auld Dubliner Pub (to be confirmed). Cash bar, Dinner can be ordered off the menu.

&loz Saturday evening, March 28th, 2009. 7-11pm, March 28th, 2009, Ceilí /Ceilidh night. Come dance and listen to live music by Tucson's premiere Traditional Irish Band: Round the house. Easy participatory dancing from all the Celtic lands will be taught by Andrew Carnie and Claire Zucker. Light Refreshments will be served. This event will be held in the beautiful and elegant reception rooms (102/104) at 1125 N. Vine Street. Map.

&loz Sunday Afternoon, March 29th, 2009. Day trip to the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. Come an experience the wonders of the Arizona Desert including seeing the Forest of Giant Saguaro Cacti in The Saguaro National Forest West. The Desert Museum, located 45 minutes from Tucson on the other side of the Tucson Mountains, is more of a Nature Park than museum and is a must see for all visitors to the region. (A small entrance fee of $13 is required. Transportation will be provided by local linguists).
